MANILA — The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) on Friday denied it issued a memorandum supposedly ordering local government units (LGUs) to immediately shut down Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) by the first week of August.

"Please be informed that this office DID NOT issue said memorandum. Rest assured that Offshore Gaming Licensing Department will keep you posted on developments. Please rely on information received through our official email addresses and personnel only," Pagcor's Jessa Fernandez said.
